HIGHLY RENOWNED TRADEMARK
On November 05, 2024, the Brazilian PTO published a notice in the Official Gazette nº 2809 informing that from November 12, 2024, Highly Renowned Certificates will be issued and available for all trademarks recognized by this special protection, in accordance with the provision of BPTO/RP Ordinance No. 08/2022, which stablished the application of article 125 of Brazilian IP Law no. 9.279/1996.
The Highly Renowned Trademark Certificate includes (i) the trademark, (ii) the registration number in which the highly renowned status was recognized, (iii) the date of recognition and (iv) the final period date of this special protection.
