Law No. 9,279
The Brazilian Supreme Court granted in part the urgent relief filed by the Federal State Attorney General, to suspend the effectiveness of the sole paragraph of the art. 40 of Law No. 9,279, only with regard to patents related to pharmaceutical products and equipment and / or materials for use in the health field. The patents granted until now under that rule remain in force.
